New Representation in Canada

We’re pleased to announce that three superb rep firms are now promoting Aveo Systems products in Canada. Connect West Marketing is covering Western Canada including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba; BG Media Solutions handles the province of Ontario (excluding Ottawa) and the Eastern Canadian region (Quebec, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island), plus the Ottawa area, is covered by Michel Morrow Technologie.

All three firms are very well experienced in collaboration products and technologies. Faced with the challenges of a massive geographical area with diverse cultures and two official languages, several years ago the three companies created a collaboration of their own – the Connected Media Tech Group – to provide the best possible service not only to the system integrators and consultants in Canada, but to manufacturers who want to establish a strong brand presence across the country. With common product lines represented among the three firms, a unified front is presented across Canada for key audio-visual brands.

Aveo Systems’ Mira Connect™ Control Appliance Now Available

Designed to make it easy to use collaboration products and rooms, Mira Connect provides a consistent, easy-to-use interface that requires no custom programming.

Marietta, GA, USA – With finished installations now in Canada, Aveo Systems, Inc. has expanded availability throughout North America of its tabletop control appliance, Mira Connect, and cloud management platform, Mira Portal.  Mira Connect’s intuitive touch screen interface makes it easy to dial calls, adjust audio settings, manage projectors and displays, and control the room, without the cost and complexity of custom programming.  The platform allows integrators to easily install controllers in less time and efficiently deliver remote management services, while reducing system costs and complexity.

The room-based Mira Connect controls collaboration equipment and is the only control system required in a room.  It is designed to work with collaboration systems ranging from room reinforcement and microphones to audio and video conferencing.  The touchscreen interface can initiate audio and video calls, control displays and projectors, and manage the audio sources in the room.  Custom graphics can be used with the touchscreen, incorporating a client’s logo, background image, and custom colors.

“We wanted a control system for our boardroom that was above all, simple to operate,” said Gerry Robillard, Manager of Information Management Services, Sudbury (ON, Canada) Catholic School District. “Mira Connect wonderfully meets that need.  It solved a problem we were having with users continually changing settings on our in-room amplifier, which created problems for everyone else.  Now that we have Mira Connect in place, it’s all been automated, and is plug and play.”

“We were impressed by the ease of installation as well as the versatility of Mira Connect,” said Jean-Francois Landriault, Director of Sales-Eastern Canada for SENSUS Communication Systems Inc.  “It not only integrates flawlessly with the Polycom SoundStructure system we installed, its operation remains simple and transparent to users no matter how the room is configured or divided.”

“Mira Connect’s consistent user experience across rooms, regardless of equipment brand, allows users to be productive immediately,” said Craig Richardson, President and CEO of Aveo Systems Inc.  “We also designed the system to be intuitive and easy for IT managers and system integrators during setup and configuration, streamlining the installation and configuration process to minutes rather than days or weeks.  We’re pleased to be working with partners such as SENSUS to deliver elegant and easy-to-use solutions for their customers.”

The Mira Connect platform supports an ever-growing collection of collaboration systems and displays including products from Polycom, QSC, Biamp, Bose, Klark Teknik, Sharp, NEC, Epson, FSR, Skreens, and Vivitek. For more information, visit aveosystems.com/mira-connect-family/.

UFC adds Interpretation with Televic

August 30, 2017

UFC® Adds Interpretation Capabilities to New Corporate Campus
Interpretation stations from Televic Conference will enable simultaneous
interpretation for foreign fighters and their staff.

Marietta, GA, USA – Televic Conference, distributed in the United States by Aveo Systems, Inc. was recently selected to provide interpretation stations for the new UFC® in Las Vegas, Nevada. The interpretation stations will be used for simultaneous interpretation to accommodate foreign fighters and their staff/trainers during training and exhibition events at the global brand’s corporate campus.

The new UFC corporate campus was designed to be a showcase for the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, including its state-of-the-art UFC Performance Institute. A key part of this world-class facility is its auditorium that can be used for press events. The auditorium includes seating, a drop-down screen and views of the adjacent gym.

“With fighters and members of the press coming in from all over the world, UFC needed interpretation capability,” said H Waldman of National Technology Associates (NTA), a Vegas-based AV system integrator. “The Televic system we installed will easily handle those needs.”

NTA installed a Televic Lingua interpretation system including a Plixus Audio Engine central unit with a Dante™ interface card. Four stations were set up with Televic’s award-winning Lingua interpretation desks, gooseneck microphones and interpreter headphones. Output of the devices is fed to an 8-channel digital infrared transmitter; 32 digital infrared receivers and delegate headphones are available for use in the facility. “Because the Televic system had Dante capabilities, it interfaced quickly and easily to the rest of the AV equipment at UFC,” said Waldman.

“Televic Conference is a worldwide leader in simultaneous interpreting and moderated meetings,” said Craig Richardson, CEO of Aveo Systems. “Installations such as the one at UFC help to demonstrate the Televic Conference system’s flexibility and capabilities.”

Aveo Systems Launches Mira Connect™ for Room Management and Control

Designed to make it easy to use collaboration products and rooms, Mira Connect provides a consistent, easy-to-use interface that requires no custom programming.

Marietta, GA, USA – Aveo Systems, Inc. has released its tabletop control appliance, Mira Connect, and cloud management platform, Mira Portal.  Mira Connect’s intuitive touch screen interface makes it easy to dial calls, adjust audio settings, manage projectors and displays, and control the room, without the cost and complexity of custom programming.  Now system integrators can easily install controllers in more rooms, reduce system costs and complexity, increase user satisfaction, and efficiently deliver remote management services.

Mira Connect is a room-based user interface and controller of collaboration equipment and is the only control system required in a room.  The Mira Connect touchscreen interface can initiate audio and video calls by selecting participants from a directory, dialing directly, or, with Microsoft® Office 365 integration, dialing scheduled meetings with one touch of a calendar invite.  Custom graphics can be used with the touchscreen, incorporating a client’s logo, background image and custom colors.

“Mira Connect’s thoughtful design and consistent user experience across rooms, regardless of equipment brand, allows users to be productive immediately,” said Craig Richardson, President and CEO of Aveo Systems Inc. “We also designed the system to be intuitive and easy for IT managers and system integrators during setup and configuration, streamlining the installation and configuration process to minutes rather than days or weeks.”

Mira Portal is a cloud-based management platform that is used with Mira Connect to set up and manage individual rooms, sites, and organizations.  With Mira Portal, as collaboration devices are added to the room, a list of the control points can be automatically created for the integrator to choose from during setup – reducing configuration errors and installation time.  Once the desired control points are selected, Mira Connect automatically generates the user interface for the room, further saving time and money.  Changes to equipment or settings are easily managed via Mira Portal and updates are immediately reflected in the user interface, reducing maintenance costs over the system’s life cycle. Mira Portal’s dashboard allows remote management and configuration of the system and can generate SMS/text alerts to room managers if equipment problems arise.  Using Mira Portal, an authorized user can securely control the room remotely via a browser, allowing IT teams or system integrators to remotely dial calls and control the room.

Customers of the Mira Connect like how easy it is to install and use. “Listen Technologies Corporation needed a control system that would easily manage two meeting rooms in our facility,” said Brooks Gibbs, Project Manager at Listen. “Mira Connect was implemented to manage our high resolution TV screen as well as to operate our QSC DSP Core engine and a Shure ceiling microphone array.  I appreciate the cloud based access to the system so I can see what is happening, and I can make needed updates easily from anywhere I have an internet connection. I can say without hesitation that Listen made the correct choice in selecting Mira Connect. It just works, and the support from Aveo Systems has been superb.”

Listen Technologies CEO Russell Gentner concurred. “We are very pleased with how Mira Connect integrates all of the equipment in the meeting rooms at Listen,” said Gentner. “It really works well and brings a professional look along with customized graphics for Listen into our conference room. Mira Connect makes it simple for any user to be immediately productive.”

System integrator Pragmatic Conferencing worked with Aveo Systems to integrate Mira Connect into a system for a key customer in the business services sector. “Mira Connect made it easy for us to configure and install a control system for our end customer,” said Pragmatic’s Andrew Moffat.  “As we reviewed our customer’s requirements, it became clear that they – and we – didn’t need the cost and complexity of a traditional control system, so we opted for an easy to configure and remotely manageable system.  Our teams quickly succeeded in setting things up and our client loves the system.”

The Mira Connect platform supports setup and operation of collaboration systems and displays from Polycom, QSC, Biamp, Sharp, NEC and more. Mira Connect will be demonstrated at the upcoming InfoComm 2017 show in Orlando, June 14 – 16, in booth 5075. For more information, visit aveosystems.com.
