Mira Connect Software is a low-cost software-only alternative to hardware-based AV control solutions, providing the same AV control functionality as Mira Connect touchscreen appliances, but without a dedicated touchscreen.  

Mira Connect software-based systems, just like the Mira Connect appliances, are configured using Mira Portal™, the management platform.  With Mira Portal, you can select from thousands of AV products from leading manufacturers to control over the local network, and access useful features, such as: Remote Control, immediate alert notifications when equipment goes offline, enabling Mira Connect Me control for a room user from their personal device, a variety of automations, and more.

Mira Connect Software runs on a user-supplied, Windows-based 10-or-newer computer and controls equipment over the local network.  Mira Connect’s user interface can be rendered in multiple ways.  When using Mira Portal’s Remote Control feature, you’ll be able to access the professionally designed, automatically-generated user interface from any tablet or computer with a browser.  The user interface is based on the equipment and features added to the system created in Mira Portal. 

Mira Connect Software offers an Application Programming Interface (API), enabling control of the room from other user interfaces that simply send Mira Connect room control commands to the Mira Connect Software application.  Alternative user interface examples include simple push-button keypads, any Zoom Rooms controller (and Mira Portal auto-generates the JSON config file for you), or even other existing programmable systems, including building management systems, traditional AV control systems, and Node-RED applications.

As with all Mira Connect systems, you can configure and experience a system in Mira Portal using simulated equipment for prototyping and demonstration purposes.  With Mira Connect Software, once you are ready to control actual equipment, a Mira Connect Room License is required. 

Mira Connect Software is free to download.  To control actual equipment, a room license is available for purchase through Mira Portal and can be purchased as a monthly or yearly subscription (that auto-renews) or as a one-time prepaid license (that does not auto-renew) for one or more years.  When purchasing multiple room licenses for an organization (i.e. the client’s company), the renewal dates for licenses purchased at different times are automatically time-aligned and pro-rated to the initial room license renewal date to streamline the renewal process.

As a software-only application, electronic waste is reduced through enhancing or repurposing equipment you may already have.

PC Requirements

Minimum requirements are Intel Celeron 2GHz, 2GB RAM (or higher), Windows 10 64-bit operating system (or newer), 150 MB disk space required.

WAN Access

WAN access is required for Mira Connect software for the remote control user interface, for configuring the system, for software updates, and for license management.

Room License

A Room License is required to control real equipment with Mira Connect Software.  Room Licenses may be purchased four different ways by partners:

1. One-time “prepaid” purchase through Mira Portal
2. Annual subscription through Mira Portal
3. Monthly subscription through Mira Portal
4. Voucher for a Room License by purchase order

Licenses become active once they are purchased in an organization or when a license voucher is redeemed in an organization in Mira Portal.
