What is a Mira Connect Room License?

A Mira Connect Room License (formerly called Mira Portal Advanced Subscription) enables features for Mira Connect appliances and for Mira Connect Software.  While the same license is used for both, it unlocks different features for appliances than for the software.  See the Room License Comparison Table to see what features are enabled for appliances and for software.

Room Licenses are purchased for a particular organization created in Mira Portal and assigned to rooms within that organization.  Note that licenses are not transferrable between organizations.

When do you use this SKU?

The Room License SKU (110.0112.001) is used when a Room License(s) is ordered with either Mira Connect appliances and/or with software using purchase orders.

SKU 110.0112.001 includes:

• One (1) Mira Connect Room License for 12 months
• Multiple years of service may be purchased in advance by adjusting the quantity.

Prior to a Room License expiring, a renewal reminder email is sent to the Mira Portal administrator for the room’s organization.  Room Licenses may be easily renewed through the Mira Portal dashboard — without the need to submit a purchase order to Aveo Systems.

To purchase room licenses, you must have administrator permissions on the organization in Mira Portal and you must also have permissions on a billing account. If you created the organization in Mira Portal, you are the Mira Portal administrator.

For Mira Connect Appliances

Each Mira Connect appliance includes a 12-month Mira Connect Room License to allow users a trial period to explore the benefits of the advanced features of Mira Connect.  After the 12 months have expired, the Room License can be renewed to retain access to the advanced features. If additional years of the Room License were purchased, the expiration date of the advanced services is extended accordingly.

Advanced Features for appliances that require a Room License include:

• Providing access to the Mira Connect user interface remotely via Mira Portal Remote Control
• Enabling text/SMS notifications for organization, site, room or equipment issues
• Allowing users in the room to access the Mira Connect user interface temporarily from a personal device (Mira Connect Me)
• Integrating directly with the room’s Microsoft Office 365 calendar to access scheduled meetings for one-touch dialing

For the Software Version of Mira Connect

Mira Connect software is free to download on a Windows 10-or-newer computer and can be configured using simulated AV equipment, making it easy to evaluate for any application.

Users can prototype, create, and experience the Mira Connect control system using Mira Connect’s built-in equipment simulators without a license. Equipment simulators behave like real equipment and allow you to build and test an interactive user interface before purchasing a license or any other equipment.

When ready to control real equipment, a Room License is required and may be purchased through Mira Portal in monthly or yearly increments.

Room Licenses may be purchased directly through Mira Portal when using Mira Connect Software.

Room Licenses may also be purchased directly through Mira Portal when renewing advanced services for Mira Connect appliances.
