(See our previous post on adding support for Extron’s DTP Crosspoint Series.)
Extron’s SW USB switcher series make it easy to use one set of USB peripherals with multiple computers. Applications include assigning USB room resources to a computer for software-defined collaboration applictions.
To get started using your Extron USB switcher, select an organization, site, and room in Mira Portal, our cloud-based management platform. Add an Extron Video Switcher from the equipment list and choose the appropriate SW USB switcher model.
Next, enter the IP address of the Global Cache IP2SL IP to serial interface, enable the desired PC inputs, choose an icon, and enter user-friendly labels and descriptions for the inputs.
Pair a Mira Connect to the Mira Portal room to control the room. Or if you haven’t purchased a Mira Connect yet, you can use our convenient UI Preview feature to experience the user interface in your browser.
Based on your entries in Mira Portal, Mira Connect automatically creates the appropriate display menus in the user interface. This makes it easy for users to select the desired input.
Mira Connect allows you to control Extron switchers and all the other A/V equipment in your conference room with one intuitive touchscreen system. Easy to set up and even easier to use, Mira Connect is the only system you’ll need. No costly programming is required as we’ve done the programming for you in Mira Portal.
And did we mention that with Mira Connect’s remote control capability, you’ll be able to manage your Extron switcher and the rest of the A/V equipment in your conference room from anywhere? That’s sure to make your AV/IT department happy.
