Control Hall Research Video Switchers with Mira Connect
Aveo Systems’ Mira Connect now controls Hall Research’s HSM-44-BX, HSM-88-4k, SC-1080R, HSM-04-04, and SW-HD-4 matrix and presentation video switchers. Mira Connect intuitively manages video source selection, making it easy for users to select different video sources to other connected devices such as displays, projectors, and video conferencing systems in the room.
Getting Started
To get started with Hall Research’s products, establish an account in Mira Portal, our cloud-based management platform. No programming is required. Simply create an organization, site, and room. Within the room, add a Hall Research Video Switcher from the equipment list, and choose the desired model from the list.
Next, enter the IP address of the switcher, enable the desired video inputs to use, choose an icon, and enter meaningful labels and descriptions as shown in the following figure.
To use the outputs from the Hall Research Switcher, add a display or another device that wants a video input. In this example, we enable an input on the display (HDMI 1 in this example) and select ‘Use Sources Connected to Other Equipment…’. Select the Hall Research video switcher as the connected device and then choose the desired output (HDMI2 in this example) from the Hall Research video switcher that will connect to the display’s input.
The display menus will be created automatically in Mira Connect, making it easy for users to select which video source input on the Hall Research switchers to view on their display. Below is an example of the Mira Connect user interface.
You can pair a Mira Connect to the room to see and use the system immediately, or use the UI Preview feature on Mira Portal to experience the user interface in your browser before actually acquiring a Mira Connect. See our blog post about the UI Preview feature to learn more.
